At the 2022 HR Technology Conference, various thought leaders and industry stalwarts chose “human” and “human-centered” as the watchwords for HR in 2023.
According to Kathi Enderes, Senior VP of Research and Global Industry Analyst for the Josh Bersin Company, these are more than just buzzwords as she told leading employee benefits provider Unum, “Your organization [and leadership need] to be human-centered.”

In other words, in a post-pandemic world, it’s more important than ever for employers to focus on their employees as people and not just worker bees.
Additional research certainly supports this strong perspective. The 2022 BEAT Study: Benefits and Employee Attitude Tracker from LIMRA concluded that employees who “feel cared for at work” are 7.4 times more likely to stay with their employers.

This sense of feeling cared for is more than just a great salary, flexible working arrangements, and perks in and out of the office. Those are important, but the group benefits being offered are just as, if not more, important to most workers. According to that same BEAT Study, about 63% of workers say their current benefits package makes them more likely to remain with their employer.

By offering coverage that includes ancillary benefits and addresses everything an employee may need, employers are making an investment in the health, well-being, and security of workers, thereby increasing both their productivity and retention.

This is all part of the industry-wide shift towards a more human-centered focus for employers when determining what kinds of group benefits to offer and how to best attract and retain the most qualified workers.

CoPower offers an extensive and competitive selection of ancillary solutions, and we take tremendous pride in providing the kinds of group benefits that workers want and need.
