What’s the value of loyalty? Society puts a premium on it, and we collectively see it as a virtue, but it may be hard to quantify. However, when it comes to business, there is a definite dollar amount that can be directly attached to each instance of employee loyalty (aka retention): in most cases, it’s less expensive to retain an employee than train a new one.

There’s an old saying: “The eyes are windows to the soul.” We all know that it just means that a person’s eyes are the easiest way to gauge their emotional state or even their intentions.

As people spend more time on digital devices, the negative health effects of this increased screentime are becoming increasingly apparent and the need to protect peoples’ eyes grows more pressing. 

It’s always been well known that excessive screentime damages vision health. However, recent research has isolated blue light as being the primary culprit in many of these health conditions. 

Employees have increasingly expressed concerns with the demands on their vision from time spent in front of computer screens. They have asked for support to address the resulting fatigue.

The Harris Poll for XP Health recently published their white paper The State of Vision Health 2023. This includes an original survey of 1,009 full-time employed adults in the U.S. over the age of 25. 

According to the US Census Bureau, over 50% of Americans are now millennials or younger. Furthermore, the entire Millennial generation, plus the older members of Generation Z, have grown up to the point where they now have adult responsibilities and expectations. 

The past few years have been extremely challenging for most workers and employers in the US. There continues to be economic uncertainty as inflation keeps rising.
